You remember the trip. The lake was still. Someone was laughing just outside the frame. You took a photo because you wanted to keep that feeling.

But a few years later, the details get fuzzy. Was that the summer before the move? Which birthday was it? When did you finally take that weekend away?

Old camera photos had a small detail that helped: a glowing orange date in the corner. It became part of the memory.

Datelight brings that feeling to the photos already on your Android phone. Add a date stamp, a personal caption or an emoji, and give a favorite moment something you can see without opening the photo’s details.

Free photo stamping. No ads. No account. No watermark.

A small stamp. A more personal photo.

A picture can show what happened. A few words can bring back what it meant.

“Our first trip together.” “Birthday pancakes.” “Finally made it.”

Datelight lets you add that little piece of context directly to the image. Keep it simple with a date, add a line in your own words, or finish it with an emoji. Change the color, size and opacity, then drag the stamp where it belongs.

The result is a photo ready for a family chat, a travel post, a printed keepsake or your own collection of moments worth remembering.

The retro look, without a different camera

You don’t have to take the photo again to give it a different feel.

Choose a picture from your phone and try Film, Datelight’s free retro look. Its glowing orange digits bring back the date display of a ’90s compact camera. A quiet beach photo, a city weekend or a candid shot with friends can take on the feel of an old print you found in a drawer.

Want more variety? Across free and Pro, Datelight offers nine looks, including crisp Clean type, a frosted Capsule, an Editorial dateline, a Postmark and label-maker tape. Three looks are included free; Pro unlocks the full collection.

Datelight’s Film look adds glowing orange date digits to a canoe photo.

Datelight’s Editorial look adds a styled date and caption to a hiking photo. Pro includes Editorial.

Film is included free. Editorial is one of the additional Pro looks. The screenshots illustrate both free and Pro features; batch photo saving requires Pro.

Use the date the photo was actually taken

Editing an older photo shouldn’t mean putting today’s date on the memory.

Datelight can read the original capture date from your photo’s stored camera information when it’s available. You can also choose a date and time yourself, or use the current moment.

That makes it useful for the photos you never got around to sharing: last summer’s vacation, the birthday still sitting in your camera roll, or the hike you keep coming back to.

If a downloaded or edited image is missing its original date information, choose the date yourself before saving.

Made for the moments you want to keep

Travel and weekends away. Add the day and a caption such as “One more morning here.” Give a favorite view the feel of a postcard you made yourself.

Family photos. Put the date beside a birthday cake, a holiday gathering or an ordinary afternoon you’ll be glad you photographed. Add the little phrase that makes it yours.

Race days and outdoor adventures. Keep the day of your first 5K or a memorable summit visible on the photo. Add your own caption to celebrate what it meant to you.

Everyday posts. A coffee with a friend. A sunset from your window. A day with no special occasion. Sometimes the best caption is simply the date and a few words you’ll understand later.

Your photos stay on your phone

Personal photos deserve a simple editing process.

Datelight processes your photos on your device. It doesn’t upload them to an editing service, and there’s no account to create, no advertising and no tracking. You select the photos you want to edit through Android’s photo picker.

When you save, Datelight creates a stamped copy and leaves the original untouched. Free photo exports have no watermark and aren’t reduced in resolution.
