Windows File Explorer doesn't show folder sizes in its list view, which makes "where did all my space go?" surprisingly hard to answer. Pick a folder and this tool shows you, three ways.
What you get
- By folder — each subfolder's total size and file count, biggest first.
- By file type — how much space goes to
.mp4,.jpg,.zip,.psd, and so on. - Largest files — the 50 biggest files anywhere in the folder, with full paths. Export the list as CSV.
The browser only reads names and sizes. Nothing is uploaded.
Where space usually hides
On a typical Windows PC, check these first:

For the Windows system itself, use Settings → System → Storage → Cleanup recommendations and Temporary files — safer than deleting system folders by hand.
Limits
This works best on folders up to a few hundred thousand files. Your browser can't scan a whole C:\ drive (system folders are protected), and can't delete files for you.
Analysing an entire drive
