What you'll see

What the fields mean

Why it matters
A photo of your new car on a sales listing, taken on your driveway, can reveal your home address. A photo sent to an employer can reveal where you were on a sick day. Photojournalists and sellers routinely check before posting — it takes seconds.
"No metadata found"
That's good news: the photo has been stripped already (most social networks do this), or was saved by an app that doesn't write EXIF, such as a screenshot tool.
